GU10 240V Lamp

GU10 240V was the alternative for 12V systems, with the same style and look of the MR16 but using a much simpler straight 240V set up without the requirement of a transformer.

The drawback of this system was that it could never achieve the same lumen output of its MR16 12V counterpart, even in LED form. Another issue was the 240V nature of the lamp making it inherently more riskier to install/uninstall lamps due to the lack of a 12v transformer limiting current if in unfortunate chances of shock.

Distinguishing factors of a GU10 vs an MR16 lamp is that the GU10 use a twist and lock style mechanism, whereas the MR16 is a straight push in, push out system.
